1930s ivory crepe slip dress with embroidered floral details and filet lace appliqué at the bodice. Features a scalloped neckline and a single patch pocket. Seam separations at both side seams. Tear at the back neckline.
Stunning vintage 1930's (potentially late 1920's) Garden Party Dress with 24 bakelite buttons. Beautiful floral pattern. Material feels like a gauzy rayon type fabric. There are two stains on the back of the dress -- please see third slide. Easily blends in with the fabric when laying naturally (almost looks like a shadow). Some other minor spots/ teeny holes common with age. No big tears or rips at all. In wonderful condition for its age! Buttons down the bust/ torso, then it is open. Would look stunning with a slip or body suit underneath. I have included more close up images of stitching in shoulders, bust, and back. Same with a close up of the buttons. Pit to pit 19". The collar has yellowed with age. I believe the material to be cotton. Integrity of the material seems to be good, I pulled on it and it held up fine. A dusty rose/Mauve color with flower print.
Insanely gorgeous circa 30s / 40s rayon rainbow swing circle skirt featuring stripes that look like lovely ribbons. Pleating at the waist which adds to the ribbon effect. Generous hem that can be let out.
Get ready to impress! This is a 4-piece dress set from the 1930s, made of the kind of silk velvet you can get lost in. The set consists of dress, unlined jacket, matching belt, and fascinator hat. Okay, the hat is not original to the set and appears to be from the 1940s, but it completes the look. The jacket is unlined and has no closure in the front. The dress closes with a metal Crown zipper on the left side. The top of the dress is lined with a blue slip. The belt measures 43" x 1". The buckle has fabric wear (see photo). The fascinator hat is made of blue and black velvet, has an 8" diameter, and attaches with a stretchy head strap. The hat label reads, "From the Young Towners' Hat Shop" next to a consumers' protection label.
