Give them Hollywood Glam, with this 1930's sheer fine mesh net gown... Perfect for a less-informal evening, this gown is your classic full-length, and sheer -meant to be worn with a matching bias-cut slip underneath. (Or, maybe you're the bold type to wear just a little lingerie or underwear with it). This gem of a dress is made in a lightweight silk mesh net -a fine net that I haven't actually seen utilized in garments of this age- in black. The fabric is cut on a bias, to give it a sheath-like fit and silhouette. The collar is jewel style, and accented with a floral-themed cotton cut-away lace in cream color, which is echoed again at the hem of gown. The puff sleeves are dramatically large and give some volume to this otherwise columnar piece. A subtle, peaked waistline is present, with tiny snap side seam closure, as well as keyhole style closure at back neck. Overall, the condition is excellent for its age, with just a few issues to note; light stretch wear to the fabric at under arm areas, a couple small repaired holes -one at left chest area, other at hem, and a couple tiny (pinhead-sized) holes in mesh throughout, lastly a light stain to hem lace at one section -please review photographs for full details. There are no labels or maker's marks present, as this is most likely a handmade/homemade, one-of-a-kind piece. Measurements: - 14.5 inches across from shoulder to shoulder- 11.5 inch circumference sleeve opening- up to 34 inch bust (due to bias stretch)- up to 30 inch waist- up to 40 inch hips- 60 inches total length from shoulder to hem Feel free to contact me with any questions or inquiries! ♥,Miss Master *Proud member of the Vintage Fashion Guild*
