I believe the gown was originally meant to be worn with the neck tie and zipper in front (zipper goes down about half of total length). However, looking at the dress I almost feel like it could also be worn as a maxi day dress with the necktie and zipper in back and maybe a belt. Elastic at the bottom of sleeves is either not present or no longer stretchy. Not seeing any stains or holes. Looks about like a modern large. Measurement across front of chest from pit to pit is 21.5" or total. Chest circumference of 43 in. Link from top of shoulder to bottom hem is 56 in.
