This is the rare folk item - the woman´s heavy black velvet Victorian styled jacket. This jacket comes from Moravian part of the Czech Republic and it is in the original, very good and wearable condition. It is lined with the woven flax, it´s back bottom part is stiffened and it is decorated with the silky trimmings all around. In front, there are 4 glass buttons for closing, also 5 very nice black replacement buttons are part of the sale. Rare, wearable addition to any folk clothes collection or to the museum!Measurements: across the chest (armpit to armpit) - c 19 1/2" when doubled laying flat, across the shoulders - 16", front length - 16 1/2", back length - 20", sleeves (measured from the top of the shoulder strap down) - 23 1/2"Condition: original, very good. Dirty lining with the age spots!
