Adorable vintage suit - fitted black jacket with matching skirt/slip, classic 40s/50s styling. Very Dior New Look styling. The jacket appears to be a gabardine type fabric with subtle horizontal lines, lined with the same fabric as the skirt/slip. Beautiful vertical seaming, 2 faux pockets below the shoulders. I say wear the skirt/slip as a skirt with a short black blouse that covers the waistband. Or no blouse needed if you keep the jacket buttoned. Slip/skirt of taffeta type fabric - top of it is a white elastic thin waistband, like a traditional slip waistband. Tulle triple layer under the hem area.Skirt:Waist is 20 inches at rest with easy stretch to 30 inches.Hips open to 50 inches. Length is 28 inches. Jacket:Bust is 34 inches. Waist is 26 inches.Bottom edge is 33 inches.Length is 19 inches. Shoulder seam to seam is 15 inches. Small shoulderpads.Sleeve length is 22 inches, a 1-1/2 inch cuff.Great condition.
