Each piece of fabric is made of different colored fabrics and designs. No Two are alike. This dress was made into a comfit fit with elastic at the waist to fit small to large. Chakra which employs over 3000 local Indian women, many of whom come from lower socio-economic backgrounds. These highly-skilled artisans transform worn, vintage saris into beautiful, one-of-a-kind blankets and other products. Just like the products they create, each woman is truly unique, weaving her own life experience, personality, and culture into every stitch she hand-sews. When you buy a Chakra Company product, you not only are writing the next chapter of its story, you are also becoming a part of the story of the artisan who handcrafted it. The cotton fabric is dyed in vegetable coloring and hand stitched by the ladies in the villagers. Can be worn as a casual or a party outfit too. So much of work has gone into making this dress.
