This antique Edwardian era princess Brussels applique Duchesse bobbin tape lace dress dates from the 1905. It is made of an off white ivory cream color cotton sheer tulle net, with fancy princess Brussels Duchesse bobbin lace assembled with appliqued filmy linen stitch, Battenburg tape lace joined by bobbin made braids and thread bars with raised buttonhole stitching creating a decorative spiral scrolling floral design, half stitch veined leaves with flower sprigs, a butterfly sewn onto a sheer net fabric front top.
