This is an especially unusual example of Edwardian lingerie. The sleeveless, waist-length body is almost entirely transparent, with decorative lace worked around the neckline and shoulders. The most distinctive feature is the long snap-fastened front bib/panel, beautifully constructed with alternating rows of fine horizontal tucks and openwork lace embellished with small raised rosettes.
