Floor length buttoned dress with a front slit in beautiful condition with matching elastic waist short shorts/ hot pants. There is the occasional loose thread (to be expected at this age), but nothing that threatens the integrity of the dress or shorts. I would say this is equal to a small or maybe even XS today. Please see the item specifics and photos for measurements (the tape measure for the hips was a little crooked so please take that into account). The tags says size 9, but the sizing was different in the ‘70s than it is today. This fabric does not stretch. Please compare to a similar item that fits you well, there are no returns for this item.
