Here is something special! 1940s Tachi Castillo, Taxco Mexico heavily sequined dress. Tachi Castillo has an interesting history and according the Vintage Fashion Guild she was the sister of the famous Taxco Mexican silver jewelry designers. She went into designing clothes and sold her first dress in her brother’s Taxco gift shop. Her clothes were worn by movie stars such as Joan Fontaine, Lana Turner and Brigitte Bardot as well as Freida Khalo and princess Ann. This dress has an Aztec print and is covered with shimmery sheer gold sequins. It has a back metal zipper with a hook and eye. The skirt is beautifully flared.
