The skirt is very FULL, and is of swishy two-tone heavy black satin with abstract white design. Small matt in velvet in front from a belt. Otherwise in great vinage condition. CL89 1 lb.
Tambour lace dresses were at the height of popularity around the Edwardian era (early 20. th Century). The fabric used on this dress suggests that it was made later, likely 1970s, although I cannot rule out that the dress was from earlier.
It has a flapper appeal with the baggy pockets and the scalloped trim with black glass buttons. There is an extension on the sleeves that may or may not have been added. Otherwise, there are a few very light and tiny spots.
