For sale is this WONDERFUL1960s cocktail dress. This is lovely with gold lace over taffeta with a bit of an iridescence to it with two drape back panels! It is in excellent condition. Total Length 50".
The most gorgeous bronze/brown 1950s taffeta dress with gold floral lattice/lace embroidery. Gathered around the scoop neckline for a flattering effect in the front, higher straight across neckline in the back.
The skirt is lined with taffeta and netting for added structure and fullness. The dress appears to be professionally handmade or custom-made, with no maker or fabric labels present. The outer fabric has the appearance of silk shantung or dupioni, though the exact fiber content is unknown.

The ribbon is soft and doesn’t show its age. The Kover zipper (pictured) indicates probably late 30s to early 40s. I have had this dress professionally cleaned recently. They were unable to remove underarm discoloration, which shows slightly with arms lifted.

It is a gold taffeta fabric, with copper orange colored flowers and leaves. The flowers are up to 2 3/4" in size. The top is lined, as is the back of the skirt. The front skirt is not lined. Bodice has front and back darts.
