This is a custom-designed Don Loper Elegant Silver Heavy Dutchess Satin Silk Evening Gown / Wedding Dress. Made for a 1961 wedding at this designer's studio on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills - the same studio featured on an episode of I Love Lucy. Search for a 1950s / 1960s vintage Hollywood style Don Loper wedding dress online -- you will not find one. Until now. The dress has not been worn since 1961, and the hand stitching is visible in some of the photos as well as the hand beading with clear beads in a simple, floral pattern. Fabric: Heavy Dutchess satin silk in a classy and classic silver grey. Style: The most elegant capped sleeve, simple design in a heavy satin silk fabric that drapes beautifully and flows as you dance all night.
