An unusual collectors piece from Lanvin. Circa 1970's it features a yellow silk dress with a cotton and silk blend vest over the top. Freperie is old French for 'Frippery' and my oh my do we love our fancy, frivolous frocks.
VINTAGE 1990S LANVIN SILK SKIRT Ivory knee length Size 4. Tag says size 38 but I used an H & M size chart to convert it into todays measurements. Strings for hanging on the side of skirt. HIps are meant to be full for ease of movement. This was a sample from when I worked for Lanvin Women's Store on Madison Avenue in NYC back in 1990. It doesn't fit anymore but is in excellent condition with no stains/rips/tears. Lining in excellent condition also. Outer farbric 63% silk, 37% rayon. Lining 55% acetate,45% cupro. Outer fabric is a textured pebble silk. Dry clean only/needs ironing. Measurements: Waist 25", Hips 38 inches, Length from top of waist to hem 23 inches. Bottom around hem 38". Waist has room to move button to a 26 inch waist. Button and hook and eye closure. This is a beautiful skirt that can be worn with a dressy sweater, blazer or blouse. Great for all seasons because it's silk.
