Separate inner slip layer present with pinked seams. Fabric has the drape and weave consistent with rayon crepe of the period. Multiple small holes and scattered breaks throughout consistent with weakened rayon fibers.
Stark’s designs for Berin were based on the latest trends in Paris fashion. While the dress is black, the texture of the weighted rayon crepe fabric gives it a muted, charcoal finish. Distinguishing this dress from all the rest is the design on the sides of the skirt featuring a large oval design with button detail at the top and bow detail at the bottom.

The Label is Try On with a Union Label. The fabric is a Rayon Crepe and if it didn't have a label I would have thought this was a 40's dress as even the print looks 40's but it is a 70's dress. Peter Pan small collar, gathers below the shoulders, short cuffed sleeves, buttons down to the waist, waist is encased in elastic and has a rolled center tie bow, not a drawstring.
This dress from the 1920s or 30s is brown chiffon?. with intricate black beading at the neckline, upper back, hem and bottom of sleeves. Could be associated with 1920s Art Deco or "flapper" style (with long sleeves more a tea party dress??).
