KSL Karin Stevens Vintage 80s NWT Women's 14W Multicolored Layered Maxi Dress While it's usually quite rare to find a 40 year old dress in pristine condition - and even more rare to find one with its original tags - this dress was originally owned by a wealthy shopaholic who had an entire condo in an affluent area just to store her purchases - she never actually lived there. Most of the clothes and shoes she kept there were from 70s to 90s and were either unworn or worn only once or twice. This dress still has its original tags from when it was purchased in the 80s. My mannequin really doesn't do it justice, because it's way too big on her, and even using the old bridal shop trick of clipping the back, it still hangs on her like a sack. While the overall color impression of the dress is brown, it's actually got blues, golds, reds and more, with several different patterns to keep it interesting.There's also a built-in necklace of sorts - two large wooden rings that are suspended across the chest from laces. And, of course, those 80s shoulderpads. I should also mention that it zips up the back, as I know that's hard to see in the photos.
