Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 DESCRIPTION This is a beautiful vintage dress and bolero jacket set from the late 50s. The person I acquired it from said that this set is what her aunt wore for her wedding on May 17th, 1957. The dress is made out of a champagne colored lace, and it is fully lined in beige acetate. The dress does not have defined sleeves, but the material caps the shoulders. The dress closes with a metal side zipper. The bolero jacket is made out of the same lace as the dress. It closes with a hook and eye closure at the throat.NOTE: The last photo is a picture from the 50s when the dress was worn for a wedding. The photos I took are more true to color, but I wanted to include the photo from the 50s since the owner was kind enough to scan it for me! SIZING There are no size tags on this set, but I believe it would best fit a size Small. The actual measurements are as follows: Dress Bust: 17.5 inches across, underarm to underarm (35 inches around) Waist: 13 inches across (26 inches around) Hips: 18.5 inches across (37 inches around) Length: 42 inches from the shoulder to the hem Jacket Bust: 18.5 inches across the back, underarm to underarm (37 inches around) Shoulders: 14.5 inches across, seam to seam Length: 15 inches from the shoulder to the hem Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around. CONDITION This set is in very good vintage condition. I did notice some slight discoloration to the underarm area of the dress (see the second to last picture for example). The discoloration is faint, and mostly on the inside part of the dress. I really don't think it will be noticeable when the dress is worn! Please feel free to ask any questions about this item before bidding.
