Bill Atkinson for I. Magnin 1960s crushed velvet giant pleat skirt. This gorgeous skirt has been so fun to clean up, and learn about Mr. Atkinsons accidental step from architecture into designing after making a skirt for his wife. This was some of his earlier work. The hem has at some point been let out, which actually could be great for someone who prefers longer skirts, a precise length, or the free spirit who digs the unfinished bias tape look. There is one spot on the front right (if you’re wearing it and looking down) towards the bottom on the green portion. I have included a pic. This skirt has a built in pocket, that is also attached to the zipper. It’s awesome. The closure is a D ring hook and a snap, plus the previously mentioned zipper. This has been hand washed, and ironed from the back. Measurements are taken at a flat lay Waist: 24” Length: 27” Comes from a smoke free, pet friendly home.
