Vintage women's dress with train. Beautiful like blue color brochade with bead trim. I was told it was from the 1920 but can't confirm. Has some stains and slight damage. I believe it is handmade. Approximate measurements 26" under breast/waist 51" from shoulder to floor in front not accounting for train. Train is about another 20"

DATING TO THE LATE VICTORIAN 19TH C FASHIONED FULLY OF HANDMADE BATTENBURG LACE ONE PIECE IN ITS CONSTRUCTION. THE BODICE HAS A FULL BUST WITH A POINTED CENTER WAISTLINE. HIGH COLLAR AROUND THE THROAT. THE SLEEVES IN BELL FASHION FLARING BELOW THE ELBOW WITH A LARGE PUFF OF PLEATED SILK CHIFFON BENEATH WITH A BAND CUFF OF PLEATED SILK CHIFFON AND SATIN FINISH SILK AROUND THE WRIST WITH SMALL STITCHED BUTTONS CLOSING. THE SKIRTING FALLS LONG IN A FLOWING TRAIN. THE INTERIOR IS LINED IN SILK THAT IS COVERED IN SILK CHIFFON WITH RUFFLES TO THE SILK CHIFFON ALL ALONG THE BOTTOM AND THE INNER SILK HAVING PLEATED SILK TAFFETA. CONDITION: I PERSONALLY WOULD REMOVE THE ENTIRE INNER SILK LINING. THE LINING OF THE SKIRTING IS VERY BROKEN. THE SILK RUFFLING OF THE BOTTOM IS HEAVILY SHATTERED AND MANY HOLES ARE IN THE BODY OF THE INNER SILK CHIFFON SKIRTING. THE TOP HAS BROKEN SHATTER ALL AROUND THE UNDERARMS AND TOP WITH BREAKAGE ALL BENEATH THE HIGH COLLAR. THE INNER BONES HAVE BROKEN THROUGH ALONG THE TOP EDGES. THE EXTERIOR LACE HAS SOME SMALL BRIDE BREAKS HERE AND THERE, ALL ARE SMALL. THERE IS A LARGE BREAK AT THE HIGH COLLAR ON THE REAR RIGHT SIDE AND THE SILK THAT TRIMS THE HIGH COLLAR IS ALSO BREAKING. THERE IS A FIST SIZED STAIN ON THE MID SIDE SKIRT ON THE LEFT SIDE BUT IS NOT HEAVY AND COULD BE CLEANED ONCE THE LINING WAS REMOVED. FASHIONED OF A CRISP BLACK SILK TAFFETA WITH TWO ROWS OF RUFFLES TRIMMING THE BOTTOM WITH A FULL FLOWING TRAIN IN THE REAR. DATING TO THE VICTORIAN 19TH CENTURY. HOOK AND EYES CLOSE THE REAR. THE BOTTOM IS BOUND IN BLACK WOOL BINDING.
