Vintage 1950’s Lace And Tulle Crème Puff Wedding Gown Dress 34-26-60

Classic 1950’s gown in beautiful lace and frothy tulle with satin underskirt. Gown is in wonderful shape, she does have a tear in tulle on side, but it is hidden under a lace panel. Two buttons missing on low back, could replace, or just sew closed up to where the buttons start again, it is only an inch or two. Small spot on side that has a faint yellow mark, see photo. This is the type of gown that can be easily soaked in a tub to brighten up, it isn’t a heavy satin so really does not wrinkle. Dreamy lovely gown you will fall in love with. Bust 34”. Waist 26”. Vintage 1950’s Lace Tiered Back Lace DRESS WEDDING GOWN Dreamy 32-24-66

Beautiful antique 1950’s lace gown with a great tiered tulle design in back with big satin bow at waist. All buttons present, too small to button on my dressform. Not sure if this was ever worn, or tried on in a Wedding Shop. It’s been in storage for Decades, it is an off white color. Many of the dresses,gowns ,etc that I will be listing in the coming months came from a Women that would buy all going out of business East Coast Clothing Shops in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s. Vintage Antique Edwardian 1900’s Artist Martha Maxwell Gown DRESS 34-26-66

Historical beauty. Lovely gown came from the estate of Martha Maxwell. Martha was an American naturalist,taxidermist and artist, she was a founder of modern taxidermy . Her displays are said to have influenced major figures in taxidermy history who entered the field later, such as William Temple Hornaday and Carl Akeley ( Father of modern taxidermy) Martha was born in 1831 in Pennsylvania. Among her many accomplishments,she is credited with being the first Woman Field Naturalist to obtain and prepare her own specimens. Martha was inducted into the Colorado Woman’s Hall of Fame in 1985. Gown still has Christie’s Auction tag attached from February 1980. Gown is in wonderful shape, a few small rust marks, the main thing is the silk bow which is torn as they do with age. Back belt looks fine, easy to make a pattern for a new one. You may need to replace a snap or two. Beautiful beautiful gown that is strong and wearable. Been in storage for Decades could use a soak to brighten up but still fabulous as is. Bust 34”. Waist 26”. Hip 66”. Length 49”. Shoulder 16”.
