Barkcloth, or kapa, is a thick and durable fabric with an important history in native Hawaiian’s culture. Traditional kapa is made from the bark of the wauke (mulberry) tree, although more modern versions are now often made of cotton.
This vintage 1980s shirt is from J.C. Penny's P.S Studio line, made of 100% silk in a bright geometric print. The shirt features a button-down style and is in new old stock (NOS) condition, never worn before. It is a size L and was manufactured in China.
