Beautiful 50s party styled dress. Bodice has horizontal stitching across its entirety that is gathered to create a puckered look. It is not elastic, so there is no stretch to it. The bodice is fully lined with tulle fabric to help it retain its shape and form.
I’ve had this beauty since I was a baby thrifter with a smaller waist. That was (gasp) almost 40 years ago, and this was considered vintage even then. This skirt appears to be homemade, there are no tags and the sewing looks to be by hand at the snap closure.
