Drop waist pleated skirt with fabulous chiffon ties to bring it in and drape down the back , just to sweet. Buttons are hidden and have hand made roses covering them. This dress is in great condition. The piece is unlined and made of rayon crepe challis. It is dry clean only. Princess Diana would have worn this with a large Hat.

VTG 40s Navy Blue Rayon Dress W/ PeplumIn good vintage condition, with some flaws. There are larger dark stains on the upper areas under both shoulders on the front & back on both sides and on the back waist, rear and skirt, but are hard to see on the dark color fabric and can be seen in brighter lighting. There is faint fading around the front collar and a small hole on the front right chest under the trim piece. There are two holes where the seam is coming loose at the left side zipper, one on the outside and one on the inside where zipper is sewn on. There are small snags and tiny holes in various places on the skirt, front and back and a white stain on the back bottom right side hem. The right side armpit seam is coming loose a bit and there's a small hole on the front left side shoulder. There might be other small holes, light spots or snags that weren't noticed.
