It is a stunning dark blue with a black chiffon overlay, beaded bodice and hip panels. There are 31 fabric covered buttons for closure in back, lace details and a charming extra large bow at a dropped waist height in back.

So very striking, strapless, with its' crystal pleat ruffles, eyelet embroidered sprays on the overskirt. The back is what really shines. Those pleated ruffles with their green accents, draping out to the sides, with a long, long, chiffon green bow. The first pictures are the dress if worn without a full slip. I added a hoop in the final pictures to show the look with a formal slip if you're fortunate enough to have one. (hoop not included) Closes with a long zipper, plus 3 different hook and eye closures. A small snap holds the bow closed and in place over zipper. Marked size 5. Fits my mannequin, which measures approx. 30 1/2-31" bust and 23" waist. From top of bust to hem approx. 50". This 1950s Alfred Shaheen skirt is a rare piece of mid-century novelty resort wear. Cut from a rich brown cotton, it features a voluminous circle silhouette with a high, gathered waistband. A highly collectible example of iconic Hawaiian textile design.
Beautiful pale pink satin with an off white dotted Swiss overskirt and lace top and hem. There is a big tear in the dotted Swiss under the hem which doesn’t show from the lace side. Also a similar small tear and mark which don’t show. On the front is a line that looks like a shadow. Doesn’t seem like a dirt mark but not a wrinkle in the overskirt either. Not very noticeable. Also a small dot on the back. Please see photos. Measurements lying flat: armpit to armpit 15 1/2”, waist 13”, shoulder to hem 56”.
