This dress, with a matching brown belt is so of the era. I would call this a narrow cut size XS/ S. 0/2. The cut is narrow in the bodice. The torch was passed. My mother also wore lots of Bonnie Cashin in the 1960s and 1970s so I was aware of the modern minimalists, and sought them out for her when I found them.

VTG 40s 2 Pc Gray Wool Jacket & Skirt. This is a 2 piece dress suit w/ a gray matching jacket & skirt. The jacket has panels w/ white stripes that go down the front shoulders & chest, at the upper back & down the center back.
This nice top has spent the last 18.5 years the corner of a closet and was forgotten about. The stain, which is difficult to see, is shown in the last two photos above. The sleeves are @17.5" long with inseams of @12".

Great 80s reproduction. Paper label. Fabric content is modern. The fabric is mostly cotton w a hint of lycra. It's a good thickness. Not thin or cheap feeling. The stated size is S, but I have sold clothing for over 30 years & partied in the 80s at nightclubs.
