Oh, how fabulous! This flared black taffeta 1940s skirt is swishy with fringe to the peplum-like front hip, with a tall fitted waistband and 3/4-full skirt. Has decorative self buttons to the front hip and a perfect curve of fringe to the swirly hem. Ideal for a USO pin-up or cigarette girl costume! Ladies' Size 2 to 3 Measurements Waist 24, Hip up to 40; Length 26.5 Inches Era 1940s Label None, factory made Materials Black taffeta, probably a rayon & acetate blend, with a fine ribbed feel and rustling sound; black synthetic silky fringe Closure Side seam metal zipper with buttons at top Condition Excellent Condition Detail Very nice, the skirt was shortened from its original length due to a ruined section of taffeta (has been cut away), fringe was added here at Vintage Vixen, a single penpoint hole at lower left near the side seam, the sides of the skirt are just barely pinkish/faded from exposure to light over years, this is hard to notice when worn Washing Instructions Dry clean Please note: All measurements (bust - waist - hip) are the maximum body measurements that will fit the item. These measurements already have ease subtracted and they are not actual fabric widths. To get actual fabric widths add two inches at the bust - one inch at the waist and two inches at the hip.
